Do you love the Pacific Northwest? Are you a nature enthusiast? The focus of this plush print is a majestic Black-tailed buck deer. These animals live in forested the mountains and foothills of the Pacific coast and typically spend their entire lives in areas that measure less than 3 square miles.
Plush prints are a marriage between woodblock printmaking and fiber art. Plush prints are interested at breaking the traditional boundaries surrounding fine art and the "please don't touch" attitude of the gallery.
Each image was first delicately carved from a piece of Shina wood and then printed by hand on 100% cotton muslin. I use only eco-friendly, water based inks on all my prints. Afterwards, each print is carefully sewn onto a coordinating colorful backing and stuffed.
