Salt Stone Ceramics
Sarah Steininger Leroux is the maker and creative mind behind Saltstone Ceramics. Sarah started in ceramics at 16 working for a production potter in Palmer Lake, Colorado. In the intervening years, she has received a BA in Ceramics from Goshen College and an MFA from Seattle University. Sarah started Saltstone Ceramics in 2015 as a small batch functional ceramics producer and teacher. Saltstone Ceramics has since expanded to accommodate more production, larger classes and a fine craft gallery.
Sarah endeavors to make extraordinary everyday objects - functional ceramic art that will turn your daily habits into rituals. Her work is inspired by the natural environment with an emphasis on layered and contrasting textures from the clay and surface treatments.
